We are proud of the life-changing, and sometimes lifesaving, work undertaken everyday by our expert staff and volunteers. We apply a whole person approach to help people in all areas of their lives, and we campaign for a Wales where everyone has access to support.
Our support includes a range of local and national services for people across Wales, their carers and families.
We recognise that life isn’t linear and neither is recovery; that’s why we’re always here, however and whenever we’re needed.
We provide a national voice for those we support and campaign alongside them to reform policy and legislation, improve services and tackle discrimination. In the face of uncertainty and adversity, Adferiad provides continuity and endurance – championing the cause for those who often go unheard and unseen.
Every year we have almost 400,000 interactions, supporting over 35,000 people. Last year alone:
new staff members
contracts delivered
new expanded services
hours of training delivered
Our services cover substance use, mental health, veterans, supported housing, homelessness, gambling, volunteering, criminal justice, domiciliary care, and employment support.
Every statistic represents a person, family or community experiencing positive change supported by Adferiad.
Elissa
"I don’t know anyone that has cracked addiction on their own, but I know loads of people that do it together with support."
Sarah
"There is still life after mental health struggles or addiction. Don’t be scared to share your story, it can give someone else hope."
Our Annual Report 2024–2025 highlights the impact of our work over the past year, showcasing key achievements, services delivered, and the difference we have made to individuals and communities.
Adferiad is Wales’ leading charity helping to change the lives of people affected by mental illness and addiction. We are a national voice rooted in local communities, led by the lived experience of our members.
