Adferiad secures funding for Wales’ Veterans Quality Housing Project
May 30, 2025
Transitioning from military life can be challenging. Veterans may face unique pressures, including adjusting to a new routine, finding work, coping with physical injuries, or managing mental health challenges such as trauma, anxiety, or depression. Even small day-to-day tasks can feel overwhelming after service.
Veterans can access guidance and support in areas including health; housing; employment; finance; wellbeing; welfare; integration into society; and other cross-cutting needs.
At Adferiad, we offer compassionate, personalised support for veterans and the wider Armed Forces community through our Change Step Programme, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and access opportunities they need to thrive.
Our veterans' support programme, Change Step, encompass a wide range of services specifically for veterans, helping those who have served in the UK Armed Forces and their families to deal with issues related to their military service and reintegrating into the community. Adopting a peer mentoring approach, Change Step is run by veterans, for veterans, allowing us to understand and support the unique needs of the armed forces community.

Change Step is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your GP, Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), NHS 111 service and select option 2, or attend at your local A&E.
