Who we support:
Change Step supports veterans, their families, and carers across Wales. The service supports individuals affected by challenges linked to military service, including those needing emotional, practical, or recovery-focused support.
How we do it:
The service is delivered by veterans and professionals who understand the unique experiences and needs of those who have served in the armed forces.
Peer mentors use their lived experience to support fellow veterans, their families, and carers by providing guidance, practical tools, and connections to relevant support services to aid recovery and wellbeing.
The service also offers volunteering and fundraising opportunities.
Referral:
Veterans, their families, and carers across Wales are eligible for the service. Individuals can self-refer, and referrals can also be made by professionals supporting people with former military experience.
