What we do
The service supports adults aged 18 and over who are caring for or supporting someone living with mental health issues across Carmarthenshire. We offer a range of flexible activities designed to meet carers' individual needs.
Who we support
The service supports individuals aged 18 and over, who are carers of people living with mental health issues in Carmarthenshire.
How we do it
We provide one-to-one support, a dedicated telephone helpline, and carers' support groups that offer a relaxing and welcoming space where carers can meet others in similar situations, socialise, and enjoy valuable respite from the demands of their day-to-day caring role. Alongside this, we offer emotional and physical wellbeing projects, practical advice on carer's rights and related issues, signposting to other relevant services, guidance on mental health services, support to access a Carer's Assessment, advocacy support, benefits advice, respite opportunities, and help with grant applications.
Referral
Individuals can self-refer to access this service. We, also, accept referrals from Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), GP surgeries, and other third sector organisations.
