What we do

Cyfle Cymru is a peer-led support service that helps people improve their mental health, wellbeing, and employment prospects through meaningful activity, training, volunteering, and work-related opportunities.

Who we support:

Cyfle Cymru supports young people aged 16–24 who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), as well as adults aged 25 and over who are unemployed or economically inactive.

The service works with individuals experiencing challenges such as poor mental health, low confidence, social isolation, and substance use.

Cyfle Cymru is available across Anglesey (Ynys Môn), Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, and Wrexham, as well as Powys, Swansea Bay, Cardiff and Vale, and Dyfed.

How we do it:

Cyfle Cymru is delivered by peer mentors with lived experience who provide practical and emotional support at an individual pace.

Support includes:

Building confidence and motivation
Developing skills for work, training, or volunteering
Supporting wellbeing and mental health
Reducing isolation through community-based activity
Helping individuals set and work towards personal goals

Referral:

Individuals can access Cyfle Cymru through self-referral or professional referral.

Referrals are accepted from professionals including Jobcentre Plus, probation services, mental health services, substance use services, and third-sector organisations.

Individuals can also contact the service directly to access support.
