What we do:
The Powys Young Person’s Substance Use Service supports young people across Powys who may be experiencing difficulties with alcohol or substance use.
We work with young people to reduce harm, make informed choices, and support positive change.
Who we support:
We support young people aged 10 to 18 living in Powys who are affected by their own substance use or by substance use within their family.
How we do it:
We provide education, advice, and emotional support to young people and their families.
Our team delivers sessions in secondary schools to raise awareness of the risks associated with alcohol and substances, helping young people make safer and healthier choices.
We also offer one-to-one support for young people who may need additional help with substance use, emotional wellbeing, or family-related challenges linked to substance use.
Referral:
We accept referrals from the young person, their families, or professionals.
