What we do
Supporting Partners – Employment and Volunteering Pathway is a Wales-wide service delivered by Adferiad that supports partners and spouses of serving Armed Forces personnel into volunteering and employment opportunities.
The service provides tailored support to build confidence, skills, and wellbeing through flexible and meaningful pathways into work and volunteering.
Who we support
The service supports partners and spouses of serving Armed Forces personnel, including both regular and reserve forces, aged 18 and over across Wales.
Many individuals accessing the service experience challenges such as career disruption, underemployment, unemployment, social isolation, reduced confidence, and limited access to flexible employment opportunities due to the demands of military life.
How we do it
The service provides flexible, person-centred support tailored to individual needs.
Support includes
One-to-one guidance and outreach support
Skills development and employability support
Volunteering and work placement opportunities
Confidence building and wellbeing support
Support that recognises the impact of military life, including relocation and caring responsibilities
Referral
Individuals can access the service through self-referral, professional referral, or internal referral.
Adferiad acts as the first point of contact for all referrals.
Self-referrals can be made by contacting the service directly. Professional referrals can be made by Armed Forces support organisations, employers, statutory services, and third-sector partners.
All referrals are reviewed by Adferiad to ensure suitability before engagement begins.
