What we do
Young Persons CAMFA is an extension of the CAMFA service providing therapeutic support for young people and families affected by substance use across North Wales.
Who we support
The service supports young people aged 14–25 across the six North Wales counties: Anglesey (Ynys Môn), Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, and Wrexham. It is a specialist therapeutic service for individuals requiring support with substance use and related emotional or behavioural difficulties.
How we do it
We provide flexible, person-centred support delivered in a way that meets individual needs.
Support can include:
One-to-one counselling
Motivational interviewing
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
Extended brief interventions
Family support where appropriate
Appointments are available face-to-face, online, or by telephone, with some evening availability.
Referral
Individuals meeting the criteria can access the service through referral or professional referral.
Referrals can be made by professionals such as teachers, GPs, social workers or family members with the young person's consent.
